In 1974, Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Johnson bought the Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup franchise. At the time, they were successfully running the Johnson Truck Sales Lot in Easton, Maryland. The Johnsons, like many other Americans, had the dream of expanding their ownership of different companies to help support their growing family.

Successful Plumbing Franchise

The Johnsons worked tirelessly to grow their business. When the property they used for their truck sales was sold, they seized the opportunity to focus entirely on the Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup franchise. This decision marked the beginning of their journey to establish one of the most successful family-owned franchises on the Eastern Shore
